Welcome to "Watch Your Bass" Channel. This channel will have footage of Derek and Nikki learning to fish. Some background on Derky and Nerky fishing experience: Funny enough it will be easy to talk about both at once because they have very similar fishing experiences. Both Derek and Nikki had been fishing in their childhood. Both of there original experiences were fishing with their grandfathers (separate people). Early in Derek and Nikki's marriage they did go fishing in Nikki's grandmother's pond (which was free and didn't require a licence because it was private land). The pond was out in the middle of a field (very hot), and they only caught turtles. They liked turtles so (to look at, not to eat) so those turtles when back into the pond. They left very unhappy and Nikki sunburnt (like a lobster). Too bad they had no lobsters to eat either. Fast Forward to Summer of '18 (kinda like the song "Summer of '69, but it wasn't). Derek and Nikki were looking at the front end of a long hot summer. Not much money in the bank but looking for something to do for the summer, Derek suggests they buy fishing licences and fishing rods and take them to the mall. If you think that then you really have not been following along so well. If you guessed that they would go fishing and learn to master the rod and reel in 2 and a half weeks.... well you would be half right. They decided to go fishing.... And that is where our story begins.
